Privacy Policy
How Last Epoch Overlay handles information on its website and in its desktop app.
Last updated: September 17, 20261. Who we are
Kyusung Interactive Co., Ltd., based in South Korea, operates Last Epoch Overlay and is responsible for the processing described here. This policy covers our website and desktop app. Overwolf and other third-party services also have their own privacy policies.
The app currently has no Last Epoch Overlay login, subscriptions or purchases. We do not collect account-registration or billing information through the app. This does not mean the app collects no information: it uses analytics, error reporting, advertising and an optional Discord integration, described below.
2. Game information and local storage
The app reads information from your running game to provide Bazaar search and session tracking. This includes item properties, character name, class, level and experience, areas visited, Echo times, gold and deaths. Item information is used to prepare searches within the game's Bazaar.
App preferences, character information and recent area history are stored on your computer. The current app does not provide account-based cloud sync for that history. It also stores an installation identifier and diagnostic logs locally. The separate analytics, error-reporting and Discord features can send information off your computer as described below.
3. Usage analytics and error reports
We collect app-usage events to understand which features people use and improve the app. Events include a randomly generated installation identifier, app version, platform, timestamps, app launches, features and pages used, and time spent in app windows. Window-usage measurements also record how a window was opened and whether it can display ads. The identifier lets us recognize a returning installation; these records are not fully anonymous.
We use Sentry to diagnose errors and compatibility problems. Reports can include error messages, stack traces, recent app activity, app and game versions, operating-system and device information, and technical context such as network requests or local file paths. Depending on the platform and report, they can also include IP addresses or user identifiers. In the Overwolf version, reports may include your Overwolf user ID and username if you are signed in to Overwolf, even though the app has no separate login.
Analytics and error reporting operate automatically in configured app builds. The advertising privacy controls described below do not disable this reporting.
4. Advertising and Discord
The app includes advertising supplied through Overwolf technology. Overwolf and its advertising partners may process device identifiers, IP addresses, advertising interactions and consent choices to deliver, measure and, where permitted, personalize ads. This can also apply to the standalone version; it does not require the Overwolf desktop app to be installed.
You can manage the available advertising choices in the app under Settings, Privacy, Ad Personalization & Data. See the Overwolf privacy policy for its processing and advertising partners.
Discord presence is enabled by default and can be turned off under Settings, General, Discord presence. When active, the app sends Discord your character level and class, current area, activity status and timing information to show your in-game activity. Visibility also depends on your Discord settings. If you join our Discord community, Discord processes your information under its privacy policy.
5. Website visits and messages
The website currently has no login, payment forms, embedded ads or browser-based analytics integration. Hosting and network services may process technical request information, including your IP address, browser information, requested page and time of access, to deliver and protect the website.
If you contact us by email or Discord, we receive the contact details and message content you provide. We use them to respond to you and investigate reported issues. Please avoid sending passwords, access tokens or unrelated personal information in support messages or logs.
6. Purposes, providers and international processing
We use information to operate the app, remember your settings, understand feature use, diagnose problems, support advertising and answer support requests. Where a legal basis is required, we rely on providing the service you request, our legitimate interests in maintaining and improving it, consent where required, and compliance with legal obligations, as applicable to the processing.
Our service providers include Railway for hosting, Supabase for analytics storage and Sentry for error reporting. They process information needed to provide those services. Overwolf and Discord process information involved in their integrations. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to address fraud, security incidents or legal claims.
We operate from South Korea. Our Last Epoch Overlay services hosted with Railway, our Supabase analytics database and our Sentry error-reporting service are hosted in the United States (US East). Information sent to these services is therefore transferred to the United States. Hosting location does not limit where a provider's authorized support staff or subprocessors may process information. Overwolf and Discord describe their international processing in the policies linked above.
7. Keeping and deleting information
Local preferences and character history remain in the app's data on your computer until removed or replaced. Removing the app may leave local data behind, depending on the installer. Contact us if you need help removing it.
We retain server-side information according to its purpose: usage records to measure feature use and returning installations, error reports to investigate faults, and correspondence to handle support requests and any related claims. Provider retention settings also apply to hosted reports and logs. Information needed for a legal obligation or an unresolved dispute may need to be retained longer. Deleting local app data does not delete records already sent to our services or third parties.
8. Your choices and rights
You can turn off Discord presence and manage advertising preferences using the settings described above. The current app does not include a separate switch for usage analytics or error reporting. You can contact us about these activities or stop using the app to stop future app-generated reporting.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, obtain a portable copy, object to or restrict processing, or withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Send requests to [email protected]. Because usage records are linked to an installation identifier rather than an app account, we may need additional information to locate the relevant records and verify a request. We will explain what is needed and any applicable limits.
9. Changes and contact
We will update this page and its date when our practices change, and provide any additional notice or request consent where required. Questions about this policy or your information can be sent to Kyusung Interactive Co., Ltd. at [email protected].
